An accident Friday night on I-95 sent a man to Memorial
University Medical Center in Savannah with unknown injuries.
The account occurred around 9:30 p.m. near mile marker 72 in
the southbound lane, according to the Georgia State Patrol. The vehicle
left the road from the right shoulder and struck a tree, causing the vehicle to burst into
flames. The man was rescued by motorists driving on the interstate.
The accident is under investigation, according to GSP.
