Shame and more shame on the Hinesville mayor and council for putting such a cloud on the service of Mr. Edwards.

His departure should have been with a parade and a party for all in the town square.  Hinesville is without a doubt a much better place to live and work thanks to the efforts of Billy Edwards.

He is the cement and glue that built and held our city together through some trying times. For 30 years as administrator and city manager Mr. Edwards ensured that things seamlessly flowed from one mayor and council to the next.

He was a guiding light to rookie council members and an inspiration and go to guy for our city employees.

Quietly out the door on a Friday is not right for such a gentleman.

Mr. Edwards, I send you my personal thanks and wish you the very best.
