Editor’s note: Here’s a Christmas poem from regular letter-writer Len Calderone, a staunch conservative. If you’re in the mood to sing it, Calderone said this exercise in political commentary is based on the lyrics of "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer."
Editor: Hillary got run over by a businessman
Walking home from her foundation on Christmas Eve
You can say there’s no such thing as Santa
But as for me and the GOP we suppose
She believed her own publicity
And we begged her not to go
But she forgot her emails
And she staggered out the door into the snow
When we found her Christmas morning
At the scene of the attack
She had CNN, ABC and NBC stamped on her forehead
And incriminating Wikileaks marks on her back
Hillary got run over by a businessman
Walking home from her foundation on Christmas Eve
You can say there’s no such thing as Santa
But as for me and the GOP we believe
Now we’re all so proud of the middle class
They’ve been taking this so well
See them in there watching football
Drinking beer and playing cards
Waiting for Trump to make America great again.
Merry Christmas! Oops, Happy Holiday
(We should be politically correct)
Len Calderone
