Keep Liberty Beautiful

In Liberty County, this past Arbor Day 2023, Keep Liberty Beautiful gave out 700 trees! We hope everyone who received a tree will take a photo and post it on our Facebook page. I hope the trees bring joy and beauty to our community.

We plan to have more trees to give out during Earth Day on April 21, 2023, at Bryant Commons. If you have not figured it out yet, trees are the theme for our 40th Anniversary. So far, we have given away over 1,000 trees! As a Keep America Beautiful affiliate since 1983, Keep Liberty Beautiful is a community education volunteer action program focusing on ending litter, increasing recycling and waste reduction, beautifying our community, and stormwater pollution and water conservation education. We aim to inspire community leaders, civic and business leaders, and local residents to create a vibrant community that is attractive, clean and green. We want Liberty County residents to be enthusiastic about the appearance and health of their environment.

We are again looking for attractive yards in the spirit of community improvement and beautification, which are essential programming areas for Keep Liberty Beautiful. With the help of the Hinesville Area Board of Realtors, they will help us recognize stunning yards throughout Liberty County.

Each quarter a realtor will recommend a yard.

That homeowner will receive a Good Neighbor Yard sign to display in their yard, a $25 gift card, a Keep Liberty Beautiful bag filled with goodies, and a Yard of the Quarter certificate.

Since COVID, we have suspended this program and are looking forward to returning it to the community. So, get your yards ready because you do not know when a realtor may be looking at them.

The first yard will be announced at the Earth Day Celebration at Bryant Commons on April 21, 2023, from 3– 6 p.m. We are still looking for booth hosts to help us make this event a success! Keep Liberty Beautiful will provide the environmental activity supplies and instructions for you. You must bring your tent, chairs, volunteers and business information to display.

If you would like to be a booth host, go to our website, www.keepliberty beautiful.org, to fill out the booth host form.
