Letter to editor
lettereditor

Editor, On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express condolences to the family, colleagues and many friends of attorney Gary A. Bacon of St. Marys on his recent and very untimely passing.

Mr. Bacon’s distinguished legal career spanned 32 years. Prior to moving to St. Marys, he practiced law in his hometown of Ludowici, during which time he served as solicitor for Long County. He was also city attorney for St. Marys. He served his profession as president of the Atlantic Bar Association for two terms and his community as vice chairman of the Long County Board of Commissioners and as charter president of the Long County Chamber of Commerce.

All Georgia lawyers are grateful for Gary Bacon’s lifetime of service and are inspired by his many contributions toward promoting the cause of justice and upholding the integrity of the legal profession in our state.

Sincerely,
Robert J. “Bob” Kauffman
President, State Bar of Georgia
