Editor, The Hinesville Military Affairs Committee was responsible for organizing and coordinating local support from the surrounding communities for the food court that provided approximately 12,000 free meals to our soldiers and their families at Fort Stewart’s “Worth Fighting For” Independence Day celebration.
As a committee, we would like to take this time to thank the many businesses and organizations that stepped up to the plate and provided donations, food, beverages and other in-kind support to help HMAC with the food court and to make it such a tremendous success. We also want to thank the more than 200 supporters and volunteers and the organizations they represent. These supporters and volunteers helped to set up the food court and prepared and served meals to our soldiers and their families.
We thank you for allowing HMAC and our supporters to be part of the team that made this celebration such a resounding success.
Lastly, to the 3rd Infantry Division soldiers, thank you for your service. Because of the sacrifices Dog Face soldiers and their family member have made, we will continue to enjoy freedoms such as the one that allows us to celebrate our independence not only on July 4, but every day of the year. We are truly in your debt.
