2 Panthers recognized by ESPN
LeCounte, Williams ranked among tops in their classes

Richard LeCounte recently received recognition as a top players in his high-school classes by ESPN.

Liberty County High School football player Richard LeCounte is ranked as the No. 1 safety in the nation for the Class of 2017, according to ESPN’s list of the top 300 incoming juniors.

LeCounte also is the overall No. 1 player in Georgia and the No. 8 overall recruit in the nation. He is No. 6 in the Southeast region.
Currently, LeCounte has offers from 24 Division I schools including Ohio State, where former teammate and new starting middle linebacker Raekwon McMillan is about to enter his sophomore season and is projected as a starter. According to 247sports.com, LeCounte also has received offers from Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Auburn, Clemson and South Carolina.

Also for the Panthers, Jacquez Williams made ESPN’s list of the top 300 players for the Class of 2016, coming in at No.
69 overall in Georgia and No. 63 at the athlete position in the nation. The incoming senior has verbally committed to play for Wake Forest. He committed June 24, according to ESPN.
