A few weeks after the tournament, team members completed their monthly community service at Coastal Manor in Ludowici. The boys passed out fruit to the residents and enjoyed lunch provided by Shane’s Rib Shack. Coach Marcus Scott IV said the kids were thankful to Shane’s and Coastal Manor for allowing them to give back to their community.

The team travels to Brunswick this Saturday to play the Brunswick YMCA team at 1 p.m.

The All-Stars will host their first AAU basketball tournament on Saturday, May 8, at the Liberty County Armed Services Family YMCA in Hinesville.

Team and sponsorships registration is under way. Fees are $150 per team and the teams must have a minimum of five players ages 14 and up. The organization hopes to secure a minimum of eight teams, and the first-place winner will receive a trophy.
