The Scott’s All-Stars basketball team recently completed its monthly community service activity at the Ronald McDonald House in Savannah. The athletes prepared a spaghetti dinner for families who were staying at the house.
The Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home for families who have critically ill or injured children receiving treatment at Savannah-area hospitals.
In order to stay at the Ronald McDonald House, a family must live at least 30 miles outside the city limits of Savannah. They serve many families from southern Georgia counties and those living in the Lowcountry area of South Carolina. In 2008, the Savannah RMH served more than 300 families.
