Scott’s All*Stars competed in a recent one-day shoot-out in Suwanee. They came in second place.

The purpose was to keep kids playing at a competitive level, while getting them ready for high school.

“It was great competition and top players and schools from Georgia were represented at the Hoop Seen Shootout,” team organizer Marcus Scott said. “We made it to the championship game, where we led for three and half quarters.”

But the All*Stars were out-scored 26-10 in the fourth quarter, giving Team United a 53-66 victory.

“The championship game was a good learning experience for them,” Scott said. “It showed them that they must play until the end.”

Scoring for SAS were Marcus Scott, 22, Daqaun Humphreys, 19, Jaylen Jackson, 9, and Zack Moser, 3

In an earlier game, SAS beat Georgia Elite All Stars, 79-63. Scoring were Humphreys, 23, Scott, 20, Jackson, 11, Malik Allen, 10, Tim Powell, 9, Russell Dandy, 5, Moser, 2, and Tarique Gray, 1.
