The Barracudas baseball team finished its final tournament Saturday in Hazelhurst, ending the season in second place.

During the 12U division’s two-day Southeast Shootout, the boys lost one game in pool play, and rain delayed the tournament for roughly two hours on day two.

The Barracudas eventually took second overall, scoring 42 runs in the last three games. In the championship game, Chris Bell went 10 for 12 with three home runs. Evan Crystal went 8 for 12 with one home run, and Colby Rhea went 3 for 3.

Coaches Chris Bell, George Rhea and Wes Crystal congratulated Jerrold Clark, who hit his first home run during the tournament.

Players and parents said they were thankful to the three coaches, who rearranged their schedules to keep the season going.

The team reconvenes next month in the 13U division.
