Barracudas take first place

Playing their last machine pitch game, Hinesville’s newly formed traveling baseball team, the Barracudas, slugged their way to a first place finish in the Douglas All Wood Tournament on July 26.
The squad is moving up from the 10 and under division to the 12 and under league meaning their days of machine pitch games are over.
Jeremiah Purnell, 8, was named MVP after getting five runs and earning a .583 batting average. He is the son of Eric and Unmi Purnell.
