The Barracudas will wrap up their season this weekend with one last tournament in Hazlehurst.

Last weekend, the local traveling baseball team won two of four tournament games in Blackshear. After winning the first match 12-4, the Barracudas lost game two 5-0. The third game got off to a rocky start. Going into the fifth inning, the Barracudas were down 4 runs, however, the squad staged a comeback and nabbed a 9-8 victory. In the final match the boys hit the field at 9:30 p.m. Struggling after a long day on the diamond, the team lost 14-4.

Approximately 20 teams are expected to participate in this weekend’s Hazlehurst tournament.

The Barracudas players and coaches said they’re grateful to their sponsors and supporters.
