Bradwell Institute travels to Brunswick on Friday to face the Pirates in a Region 3-AAAAA contest.

The Tigers come into the contest 0-8 overall and 0-6 in region play, while the Pirates are 2-6 and 1-5, respectively.
Both teams are led by a strong core of younger players.

The Pirates have rushed for 1,460 yards and 14 touchdowns, primarily led by a slew of sophomores, two juniors and a senior.

Official stats from last week’s loss to South Effingham had not been posted by press time, but in the last five games, the Tiger offense was led by freshman quarterback Quin McMassey. He is 9-of-24 passing for 73 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Senior running back Luther Echols has 618 yards on 126 carries in the last seven games. Freshman Kevin Harris has started to catch up, posting 308 yards on 65 carries in the last seven games. Rounding out the triple-digit rushers are Imani Hurte with 145 yards, Christian Evans with 112 and Trevon McCoy with 103.

Using the rush, the Tigers have scored six touchdowns.
Juniors Isaiah Quarterman and Joshua Ingram lead the defense in tackles with 43 and 38 total tackles, respectively. Sophomore Alvin Roberts has 37 tackles, and seniors Deion Stewart and Isaac Moana have 36 and 32, respectively.
