BI Lady Tigers honored at banquet

Instead of trick-or-treating on Halloween, the Bradwell Institute Lady Tiger softball team celebrated its 11-11 overall season and 8-4 Region 3-AAAAA mark with an awards banquet. Head coach Sharyl Eastlake and assistant coach Jeff Eastlake presented awards to the junior varsity and varsity players Sunday at Club Stewart.

Varsity awards went to: Rachael Ray, Golden Glove; Kelissa Hargrove, Silver Slugger; Danielle Durham, Coaches’ Award; Barbara Rego, Most Valuable Player; Kaitlyn Stacy, Comeback Player of the Year; Jessica Puckett, Most Improved Player; Danielle Durham, Top Tiger; and Dayla DeJesus, Highest Academic Achievement.

Junior varsity awards went to: Marissa Polston, Most Improved Player; Jessica Schrick, Coaches’ Award; Kayla Rocker, Silver Slugger; and Courtney Felton, Most Valuable Player.

Ashley Riles, Jessica Puckett, Kelissa Hargrove and Kasey Smith received letters.
