The Long County High School boys’ soccer team got a huge win Friday, beating Benedictine Military School, 6-5, in Ludowici.
With the Region 2-AA win, the Blue Tide improved to 2-1 overall, including a first-place record of 2-0 in the region. Benedictine fell to 0-4-2 overall and 0-1 in the region.
Friday did not go as well for the Lady Tide as they fell to St. Vincent’s Academy, 6-0. With the loss, the girls dropped to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the region, while the Saints improved to 1-2 and 1-0.
On Tuesday, the Long County teams are back at home to take on Claxton in non-region action.
The Lady Tide game begins at 5 p.m., with the Blue Tide game following at 7.
