Blue Tidelose to Pierce County

The Long County High School football team dropped its fifth consecutive game Friday, losing 32-7  to Pierce County.  
The score had been relatively close at 10-7 until the Bears scored 22 unanswered points.
Other 2-AA results from Friday night had Tattnall County defeating Brantley County 34-20, McIntosh County winning over Appling 19-14, and Jeff Davis beating up on Calhoun County 49-12. Vidalia High School and Toombs County were off this weekend.
Region 2-AA standings have Tattnall (5-1) and McIntosh (4-2) on top with 3-0 marks, followed by Vidalia at 2-1 (3-3), Appling at 1-2 (2-4), Toombs at 1-2 (2-4), Pierce at 1-2 (2-4) and Brantley at 1-2 (2-5). Jeff Davis (5-2) has not yet played a region game. Long County (1-5) is 0-3.
