Blue vs. White game set for Saturday

STATESBORO — Georgia Southern’s annual Blue vs. White spring-football game will kick off at 1 p.m. Saturday at Paulson Stadium, according to gseagles.com.
Admission and parking are free. Gates will open at noon, with fans asked to enter through gates 1 and 12.
GSU President Dr. Brooks Keel will assist in coaching the Blue squad, while Leonard Bevill, the first student to be Gus in 1989, will assist the White squad.
Also Saturday, in addition to inflatables and other kids’ activities, the second annual Tailgate Cook-Off will be held in the parking lot. Tasting will start at
11 a.m. and end at 12:30 p.m. Fans are can serve as tasting judges for $3. Winners will be announced during the game.
After the football game, the Georgia Southern softball team will host Troy in a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
The first 100 fans who present their roster card from the spring football game at the doubleheader will receive a free T-shirt.
