Bradwell Lady Tigers drop last three games of season

Bradwell Institute’s softball team dropped three back-to-back Region 3-AAAAA games this week to finish the regular season 3-18 overall and 0-8 in the region.

The Lady Tigers gave Statesboro a challenge, trading run for run and hit for hit. But the Lady Blue Devils held on to win 5-4 Tuesday.

The Lady Tigers then faced a strong South Effingham team Wednesday and lost 15-0. On Friday, the Lady Tigers played their final game of the season at Effingham County. The Lady Rebels won 14-0.

All the games were played on the road.

At Statesboro, Lady Tiger Kaylynn Jewell led in hits, going 2 of 3 with 1 RBI. Tamia Johnson and Madison Winn each had 1 RBI.

Mackenzie Stewart gave up nine hits in the circle. She walked one and tossed two strikeouts.

At South Effingham the Lady Mustangs slammed 16 hits against the Bradwell team.

Stewart had Bradwell’s lone hit. She pitched one inning, and Madison Winn pitched two innings. They each gave up eight hits.
