An 11-run second inning propelled Bradwell Institute to a 17-1 romp over crosstown rival Liberty County in Tuesday night softball action.
Alyssa Haynes was 3-for-3 with a double and a triple and drove in five runs. Lexie Carson was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs, Olivia Jones was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs and Cinia Bailey drove in two runs. Leah Denmark added a double as Bradwell finished with 13 hits and drew nine walks.
Denmark also struck out four and allowed one hit in three innings.
Bradwell, now 4-3, visits Bryan County today at 5:30 p.m. and hosts MCA on August 23 at 7 p.m.
