Bradwell Institute High School won the annual Richmond Hill Relays this past Friday, defeating Richmond Hill High School by one point to win their first meet of the year. The Tigers advanced to the top by placing in the top three in seven of the eleven relays. Others schools involved in the relays over the weekend were West Laurens, New Hampstead, South Effingham, Liberty County, Islands, Savannah Christian, and Savannah Arts.

The 4x200 relay team consisting of Terrius Crimiel, Christian Evans, Desmond Dawkins, and Donald McClinton broke the Tigers school record. The throwers relay team, consisting of Joshua Ingram, Nathaniel Wallace, and Isiah Quarterman, set a new school record as well.

Head Coach DeAndre Davis had high praise for his team after the victory, and says there are many athletes on his team that can bring the Tigers success. “This year, we can get points from a number of events,” he said. “We are strong in jumps, relays, hurdles, and sprints. If we can get our throwers, distance, and pole vaulters together, we will be in great shape come the State Championships.”

Bradwell hosts their first meet at home Saturday March 4 and then once again Saturday March 18.
