Bradwell's bats crank up win over FPCA

The Bradwell Institute Lady Tigers scored seven runs in the fourth inning, breaking open their non-region softball game with First Preparatory Christian Academy on their way to an 11-1 win August 17.

Leah Denmark was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, Ja’lyiah Taylor went 3-for-3 with a double and drove in two runs, and Kyrstin Barnard was 2-for-3 with one RBI and a double. Heather Garrett was 2-for-3 with a double, and Lexie Carson, Hannah Rosenstrauch and Eyannah Christman-Savea each went 2-for-3.

Kainani Auld added a double, while Christman-Savea and Lea Martinez each added one RBI.

Makaylee Jones led the Highlanders by going 2-for-3 with a double. Kendal Diven drove in the lone Highlanders run.

Bradwell, now 2-2 on the season, opens Region 1-AAAAA play today with a 5:30 p.m. game at Statesboro.
