Rion Brown continues to make a splash in sunny Miami.

The former Liberty County High School star scored a game-high 16 points Nov. 24 to lead Miami to a 79-59 win over McNeese State, according to the school’s website.

Brown, a freshman, shot 4-of-6 from 3-point range and was one of six Hurricanes to finish in double figures as Miami (3-2) rebounded from its second loss of the season Sunday at Rutgers.

On Saturday the ’Canes were in Fort Myers where Miami beat Florida Gulf Coast 87-75. In that game Brown hit a 3-pointer for the ’Canes after coming off the bench and playing only four minutes.

On Nov. 19, Brown posted a career high with 17 in the ’Canes 88-65 win over North Carolina Central.
