Chancellor to speak at AASU graduation

Commencement at an area univeristy, Armstrong Atlantic State University, will feature Henry "Hank" Huckaby, chancellor of the University of System of Georgia.
Part of the University System of Georgia, AASU offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate academic programs at a main campus in Savannah and a regional center in Hinesville.
The winter commencement will honor more than 500 graduating students, who will receive diplomas at two ceremonies. Huckaby, the state's 12th chancellor, will deliver the commencement address at both ceremonies. Armstrong President Linda M. Bleicken and senior members of the university faculty and administration will confer degrees upon graduates.
The ceremonies will be at 10 a.m. for teh school's College of Liberal Arts and College of Science and Technology commencement ceremony; and at 1 p.m. for the College of Education and College of Health Professions. Both will be in the Alumni Arena at the Sports Center at Armstrong, 11935 Abercorn St. in Savannah.
