ATLANTA — The matchup between South Carolina and Florida State has given the Chick-fil-A Bowl its 14th consecutive sellout.

The bowl’s streak of sellouts matches the Fiesta Bowl for the second-longest in the nation, trailing only the Rose Bowl.

Chick-fil-A Bowl President Gary Stokan said Wednesday the latest sellout was generated by continued local interest for the annual pairing of teams from the Southeastern Conference and Atlantic Coast Conference.

Each team purchased its full ticket allotment for the Dec. 31 game at the Georgia Dome. Local and regional fans purchased the remaining tickets from the Atlanta-based office.
