Crusaders march on

It looks like Faith Baptist Christian Academy is half way to its eighth Georgia Athletic Association 2-AA state title.

The Crusaders are 13-2 so far this season and swept their bracket at the recent Coaches versus Cancer Tournament hosted at Robert Toombs Academy on Dec. 16-18.

Faith Baptist downed Pinewood Christian 80-52 in the first game, then beat New Birth Christian 85-71. Savannah’s Memorial Day was the Crusader’s last opponent and the Ludowici boys rolled to an 89-42 win.

Mo Lee is leading the Crusaders averaging 17.1 points per game with Jaquez Motley close behind, averaging 14.1 per game, according to maxpreps.com.

Shavon Stoves is averaging 13.1 points per game with Tracey Jester close behind at 11.6 points per game. Motley leads the team with 57 assists and JJ Frazier follows with 51. Lee leads the steals with 76 rebounds.

The Crusaders will head to the West Oaks Tournament in Orlando, Dec. 29-31.
