u//]UÆ∞´22050UljTEXT05    Bradwell Institute senior Desirae Curry is taking her hardwood skills to Jacksonville, Fla.
Curry signed a scholarship to play for the Lady Stars at Florida Community College-Jacksonville.
Stars coach Debra Woods is excited to have Curry join the program.
“She’s a nice young lady and she will do well here,” Woods said. “I am looking for her to contribute to the transition game and help us inside on offense. She also will help us on our fast breaks.”
Curry was a four-year starter for the Lady Tigers, coached by Faye Baker, who thinks the sky’s the limit for her former player.
“She has not come into her own yet athletically. She has so much untapped potential,” Baker said. “If she works hard, after two years I feel sure she will move on to a D-1 school.”
Baker is not only proud of Curry advancing in basketball but also in education.
“I’m always happy when one of my athletes can go to the next level,” Baker said. “That’s the ultimate, to use your basketball skills to get a good edu
