Donell Woods Memorial Tournament scheduled

The annual Donell Woods Memorial Tournament is Jan. 15 at Bradwell Institute, Lewis Frasier Middle School and Snelson- Golden Middle School.

The annual tournament showcases ninth grade and junior varsity teams. Admission this year is free.

The junior varsity boys will tip-off at 8 a.m. at Bradwell Institute with Benedictine playing Johnson in game one. Game two will feature Glynn Academy against Bradwell. The winner of game one will play Camden in game three. The following three games will be determined by brackets.

The ninth grade boys will tip-off at 8 a.m. at Lewis Frasier Middle School. The schedule is the same as the junior varsity bracket.

The junior varsity girls will tip-off at 8 a.m. at Snelson-Golden Middle School. Game one pits the Johnson girls against Glynn. Game two features Brunswick vs. Statesboro. The winner of game one will play Camden in game three and the winner of game two will play Bradwell in game four. Brackets determine the final games.

The tournament co-directors are BI varsity basketball coaches Faye Baker and Pete Woodard and assistant tournament director Joseph Smiley.
