Eight Lady Tide earn postseason honors

Recently the names of the 2-AAA All-Region team were released, and this year Long County High School was well represented with eight girls being recognized.

Selected to the first team were Trista Murphy, Rylie Poppell, and Chante Thomas. Making the second team were Madison Giron, Bailey Harrison and Alyssa Swindell. Ajmanni Jefferson and Jasmine Todd were named honorable mention.

Each helped the Lady Tide finish with an 18-9 overall record and a trip to the state playoffs. The team was ranked No. 19 in Class AAA, according to MaxPreps. Long County coach Tyler Chambless said that he was proud of all of these girls for all of their hard work all season.
