Former Blue Tide basketball and football standout Ricky Rivera was back in the area and on the hard court Saturday. Rivera, a guard with the Middle Georgia College basketball team, was in Brunswick where the Warriors took on the College of Coastal Georgia. The Warriors had to overcome a 10-point deficit at the half to pull out a tough 68-62 win over the Mariners. Though Rivera didn’t put up any points in the game, he pulled down four defensive rebounds in 14 minutes of action.
With the win, the Warriors improved their record to 9-4 while the loss dropped the College of Coastal Georgia to 10-5.
