Former First Presbyterian Christian Academy and East Georgia College basketball players DJ Felder and Jordan Johnson guided their professional Ecuadorian basketball team, H.R. Portoviejo, to the Ecuador National Basketball League title Wednesday.

They helped their team take a 74-63 win over Club Iccan in game three of the series Tuesday. The duo then followed that up with an 83-65 win in the finals Wednesday.

In the final game, Johnson scored 29 points, including 4 three-pointers. Felder contributed 24 points and shot 50 percent from the three-point range. Johnson was named the tournament MVP.

Johnson started his college career at East Georgia College and finished at Tennessee Tech. Felder also started at East Georgia and finished at Jacksonville State University.

This is Johnson’s second season with H.R. Portoviejo and Felder’s first. Last year, Felder played for the Surrey Scorchers of the British Basketball League.
