Former Liberty County and current starting middle linebacker for Ohio State Raekwon McMillan is having a superior sophomore year with the Buckeyes.

McMillan currently leads the Buckeyes in tackles with 74, and on Monday, he was named one of 10 semifinalists for the Butkus Award.

The award is presented annually to college football’s top linebacker.
McMillan won the High School Butkus Award in 2013 just a week before he made his national announcement on ESPN that he would attend Ohio State.

During his freshman year, McMillan played in 15 games and made 54 tackles for the season.

Ohio State will host Minnesota Saturday at 8 p.m. The game will be televised on ABC.
