Former Liberty player with Canadian Football League

Former Liberty County running back Shadrach Thornton is back on the football field playing for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League.
According to a news report on Pack Insider, Thornton signed with the Redblacks two weeks ago.

It was about one year ago the former North Carolina State Wolfpack star was dismissed from the team after a series of issues off the field.
In May, Thornton signed as an undrafted free agent with the Oakland Raiders, according to the report, but was later released.

He signed with the Redblacks Sept. 20, according to the team’s website.
Thornton finished his career at NC State ranked sixth all-time in career rushing yards (2,572), eighth in carries (513), 11th in rushing touchdowns (19), sixth in 100-yard games (9), 12th in career touchdowns (21), and 15th in All-purpose yards (3,076).
