Former Long County High basketball player Nate Gooding still is hooping it up in the American Basketball Association.
Gooding started his ABA career in 2012 with the newly formed Savannah Grizzlies.
Now in his first season with the Southwest Warriors, an ABA team in Atlanta, Gooding has played in six games so far and is averaging 14.2 points per game, according to the most recent stats posted on their website.
“It feels awesome, it’s such a blessing to still play the game I love at such a high level,” Gooding said.
Gooding said he made the switch because it provided him with an opportunity to be a starter “and also display my skill set and be a part of a great organization.”
