First Presbyterian Christian Academy will attempt a repeat performance of last year’s matchup when the Highlanders host David Emanuel Academy on Friday at Long Bell Stadium.

Last year, the Highlanders had to earn a 38-34 win over the Eagles during an away game in Stillmore for the second win in their program’s history.
The Highlanders lined up in a pro set on offense and pounded the ball into the end zone.

The Eagles gave FPCA a fight, matching nearly every touchdown with one of their own, but the Highlanders scored a late touchdown for the victory that also gave them their first playoff berth.

The Highlanders have a 1-8 overall record and 0-2 mark in Region 2-AA of the Georgia Independent School Association, while the Eagles are 2-4 and 0-1.
Stats for the past five games show the Highlanders making big strides, rushing the ball for
763 yards and six touchdowns and passing for 433 passing and seven touchdowns.

The Highlanders amassed 1,583 all-purpose yards in that span.
Game time is 7:30 p.m.
