First Presbyterian Christian Academy is only 4 years old but don’t tell that to the boys basketball program.

The Highlanders are the defending GISA Class A champions, and appear to be on the path to another crown. They improved to 10-0 this season after toppling Heritage Christian 84-12 last Saturday in Brunswick.

Joey Bell paced FPCA offensively with 19 points.

So far this season, Bell is averaging 18.8 points a game, while A.J. Ansley is averaging 16.7 and Michael Brown is averaging 12.5.

The Highlanders will get to enjoy some time off for the holidays, but they do have games coming up on their schedule. On Dec. 29, they will visit Melody Christian Academy in Live Oak, Fla., and on Jan. 3, they will travel to Mount Vernon Presbyterian in Atlanta.

Mount Vernon is the No. 1 team in the GISA Class AAA rankings.
