FPCA, Liberty fall in season openers

First Presbyterian Christian Academy hosted Bulloch at Long Bell Stadium.

First Presbyterian Christian Academy and Liberty County High School both suffered losses in their first regular season football games.

The Highlanders played at Long Bell Stadium in Hinesville where the Bulloch Academy Gators shut them out 37-0.

LibertyCountywas on the road in Springfield playing at Effingham County High.

The Panthers lost a tough battle to the Rebels falling 20-14.

Bradwell Institute and Long County High did not have games this evening. Both teams start their regular season next week.

Next Friday the Panthers and Tigers square off at Donell Woods Stadium. FPCA will host Briarwood Academy and Long County plays at Tattnall County High.

All games start at 7:30 p.m.
