FPCA splits games with Twiggs, Toombs season

Highlander K’Ane Nunn pitched a no-hitter last Tuesday in First Presbyterian Christian Academy’s 19-0 shutout win at Twiggs Academy.
The Highlanders played again Friday, but lost to Robert Toombs 6-0.

In Tuesday’s win, the Highlanders drove in 14 runs in the first inning. Scoring started with a two-run triple by Kyle Hill. With the bases loaded, a walk forced Highlander Steven Young home. A hit batter and two more walks kept the Highlanders crossing the plate. Nunn hit a two-run single, his brother Cameron Nunn hit a two-run single and more runs were added by walks.

The Highlanders proceeded to add five more runs in the second inning. The game ended in the third.
Cameron Nunn and Nathan Burriss were 1 for 3 with 3 RBIs each. Luis Laboy, Young, Hill, Isaiah Dickey and K’Ane Nunn had 2 RBIs each. Jordan Gilliard and James Arnold each had one RBI each.

Nunn struck out seven and walked one in the no-hitter.
