Can I just say $#@#%$ LSU one more time?
The Tigers are awful right now and Ed O’s tenure at LSU is sure starting to resemble Gene Chizik from Auburn after he won the national title. That ain’t good for Ed.
Another set of Tigers in Auburn got bailed out against a very good Arkansas team when the refs forgot their rule book but remembered that wad of cash that was put in the pockets right before kickoff.
Time for a beer and some picks after a 4-3 week and 14-7 overall!
AUBURN AT SOUTH CAROLINA:
I know a backwards pass, fumble whatever you want to call it and Arkansas whipped Auburn except for that flaky call. They may not get that kind of luck this week.
South Carolina is physical and Auburn doesn’t look like that at all.
SOUTH CAROLINA 24, AUBURN 10
KENTUCKY AT TENNESSEE:
Kentucky beat Mississippi State and Tennessee got the Dawg beat out of them in Georgia. I don’t think it gets much better for the Vols this week after really getting physically whipped in Athens.
Kentucky is also a big physical team, but they really don’t have much at quarterback and if Tennessee really is starting to come back to the big time they better rebound. I don’t buy it.
KENTUCKY 21, TENNESSEE 20
LSU AT FLORIDA:
Florida has forgotten how to play defense. LSU has forgotten how to play football. It’s a bad time for the Tigers to visit the Swamp.
Dan Mullins’ boys will be hopped up and the offense will even throw a little mustard on LSU. Don’t think it’s going to be pretty. There’s still plenty of bad blood between these two and Florida won’t hesitate to run the score up.
FLORIDA 45, LSU 40
OLE MISS AT ARKANSAS:
Ole Miss gave Bama fits last Saturday and Arkansas should have won at Auburn. One of these two teams gets some justice this week.
Arkansas is a better team than Ole Miss, but Lane Kiffin is a genius when it comes to offense and just like they ran 86 plays the Tide, they will do the same thing to the Hogs and beat them handily.
OLE MISS 42, ARKANSAS 40
TEXAS A&M AT MISS. STATE:
Texas A&M broke through against Florida last week in front of loud crowd. Anyone else getting the feeling some of these schools are fudging on their attendance numbers? Sure looked like more than 24,000 in the stands to me.
Mississippi State laid an egg in Kentucky last week and they better be ready to see an inspired A&M team which is coming off a big win.
TEXAS A&M 41, MISS. STATE 20
VANDERBILT AT MISSOURI:
Postponed until December 12. Vandy won’t get their 10th loss until then.
GAME OF THE WEEK
GEORGIA AT ALABAMA:
Is it too much to ask that we get the same type of game that we have had the last few times these two have met?
Georgia blasted Tennessee and Alabama outlasted Ole Miss. Two different games with the better team winning, but it makes me wonder which way this one might swing.
Georgia is shaping up to have a great defense that can stop almost anyone and Alabama’s offense doesn’t seem able to be stopped. Something’s got to give, but whatever, I think this is Part 1 of a two game set. These two are going to meet again for the SEC championship and I’m not stepping out on a limb to say they might also meet one more time in the playoffs! Whatever the ticket prices are I’m buying!
Defense? Offense? Bama makes it swing to the offense. I don’t think Georgia can score with Bama no matter how good their defense is.
ALABAMA 35, GEORGIA 30
Beer Tap: Told you Dan Quinn was going to be out as Falcons head coach after an 0-5 start. Get ready for a high draft pick!
