Golf tourney will provide holiday meals

The third annual Manna House Golf Tournament is set for Oct. 24 at the Cherokee Rose Golf Club.
The four-man scramble raises funds to provide turkeys and hams for those in need during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Entrance fees are $50, plus two canned goods per player. Mulligans cost $5 with a maximum of two.
Registration is open until Oct. 19. Check-in time is noon.
Sponsorships are available from $100 to $500.

Sunbury run registration open

The fifth annual Sunbury 5K, presented by Merritt & Grinstead, Attorney at Law, is set for 10 a.m. Oct. 3 in Sunbury. Registration is $30 per runner. All registration proceeds will benefit the American Diabetes Association and the Vietnam Veterans of America, for the assistance of local veterans.

Youth bowling sign up Saturday

The Fort Stewart Youth Bowling will register bowlers ages 3-18 (20 if enrolled in college) from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Marne Lanes on Fort Stewart. Participants must be at Marne Lanes on Sept. 12 to ensure being placed on a team. The league will start at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19.
