Area builder and avid golfer Josh Stafford of Jesup recently accomplished a feat that few ever experience. While playing golf with his father and uncle on July 21 at Laurel Island Links in St. Mary’s, Stafford made his first hole-in-one. “The 17th hole was playing 175 yards, so I hit a soft 5-iron into a slight breeze. It bounced once, rolled about four feet and disappeared,” Stafford said when asked about his shot. “Golf is a game of highs and lows and this is the ultimate high. Ironically, the last time I played out here, I put out a window!” said Stafford, who is flanked by George Stafford and Carey Jones.
