Former Liberty County Lady Panther basketball standout and current junior at Armstrong Atlantic State University Kaneetha Gordon was named to the Peach Belt Conference’s 12-member women’s All-Conference basketball team.
Gordon leads the conference in rebounds, averaging10.9 a game and is eighth in scoring, averaging 15.1 points a game.
The 5-10 center from Riceboro also was named the conference’s Player of the Week. She averaged 18.5 points and 13 rebounds in two games last week..
Gordon and the Lady Pirates (17-9, 9-7) play USC-Upstate at 1 p.m. today at Lander College in Greenwood, S.C. in the first round of the PBC tournament.
Lander’s Tiara Good was named the PBC Player of the Year while North Georgia’s Porsha White is the Freshman of the Year.  Clayton State head coach Dennis Cox was voted the league’s Coach of the Year. .
The 2006-07 All-Conference team is listed below as voted on by the league’s 12 head coaches. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players. All winners will be presented the plaques before their opening game of the 2007 Tournament.
