STATESBORO — Kickoff times for the five Georgia Southern home football games have been set. Director of Athletics Sam Baker announced the times Friday.

The 2009 season-opener on Saturday, Sept. 5 against Albany (N.Y.) is slated for 6 p.m. Georgia Southern will face Western Carolina in its Southern Conference opener on Sept. 19 with kickoff set for 7 p.m. That is the lone regular season home game to be televised, shown live on SportSouth.

The Eagles will play host to Chattanooga on Oct. 17. That Family Weekend contest is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start.

Georgia Southern closes out the regular season with consecutive games at Paulson Stadium. Homecoming against Furman on November 14th and the regular season finale against The Citadel on November 21st are both scheduled for 2 p.m. kickoff.
