Highlanders fall short of state title
baseball

First Preparatory Christian Academy lost two games in the best-of-three series for state title. The Highlanders played last Friday against the defending Class A champions, Thomas Jefferson Academy.

According to assistant coach Tony Harmon, the FPCA boys lost 7-6 in game one and 10-6 in game two.

“FPCA had a great year, making it to the state championship for the third straight year,” he said.

Harmon said the future looks good for the Highlanders as they plan to have six returning starters.

“We will miss the two graduating seniors in Kyle Duncan and James Osteen, who both had amazing senior seasons,” Harmon said.
