First Presbyterian Christian Academy has already had a record-setting season, sitting at 3-3.
The iron-man team will host Brentwood Friday at Long Bell Stadium as the Highlanders try to win the most games in one season in program history.

The War Eagles are another new opponent in football. The Sandersville team went 2-9 last year with a roster of 24. This year they list 23 on the roster, and all have extensive game experience, as well as the skilled arm of quarterback Peyton Massengale.

Brentwood is also off to a 3-3 start for the year.
Injuries could present a problem for the Highlanders. Last week FPCA was down to 13 players, but pushed forward, forcing overtime against Georgia Christian. FPCA lost in OT 32-26.

The bright spots are the connection between Highlander quarterback Steven Young and receiver Khalyn Weekley. Weekley has 15 receptions for 415 yards and seven touchdowns. Young is 32 of 68 for 522 passing yards and eight TDs.

The rushing game is led by junior Sensier Carnes. He has 534 yards and four TDs on 83 carries. Highlander George Mitchell has seven receptions for 72 yards and two TDs. He has rushed for 70 yards on 15 carries and three TDs.

Austin Hendrix leads the defense with 42 total tackles. Weekley has 34 and Brandon McKorkle has 22.
