Highlanders rake in postseason honors
FPCA postseason honors

Six First Preparatory Christian Academy baseball players earned all-region and all-state honors from the GIAA, and coach Elias Macias was named state coach of the year following the Highlanders’s Class A state baseball championship season.

Earning all-state and all-region first team honors were seniors Jake Diven, Cam Eason, Caleb Harmon and River North, and junior Evan North.

Diven hit .444 with five home runs and 38 RBIs. Eason hit .415 with 12 doubles, four triples and drove in 36 runs. He also went 8-3 with a 3.48 ERA, pitching three complete games.

Harmon batted .495 with eight doubles, seven triples, one homer and drove in 41 runs. River North hit .439 with three homers, five doubles, seven triples and 33 RBIs. Evan North hit .394 with three home runs and 36 RBIs to go with 15 doubles and three triples.

River North was 3-3 with a 3.65 ERA on the mound and Evan North was 4-3 with a 2.52 ERA, throwing two complete games.

Senior Mason Bruning was named honorable mention all-region and all-state, driving in 41 runs while hitting .451.
