Hinesville-Ludowici area football in review: Week 5
LCFB QB Carlos Singleton

The Liberty County Panthers and Bradwell Institute Tigers both returned to the field after missing three weeks of action due to a COVID shutdown in the school system.

The Panthers went to Statesboro to face the Blue Devils, falling on the road 23-6.

This would serve as the warmup game for the Panthers in their return to the field on Friday as they will begin their Region 3-3A schedule this week on the road.

The Tigers also had a rough week in their return to the field.

They traveled to Baxley to take on the undefeated Appling County Pirates, losing 39-6.

They will now begin their Region 2-6A schedule as they will be on the road this upcoming week.

Long County Blue Tide were not victorious last week, following clinching their first multiple-win season since 2015.

They went to Hazlehurst to face the undefeated Jeff Davis but couldn’t get the victory, dropping the game 34-12.

The Blue Tide got an early lead but the Yellow Jackets’ rushing attack was too much as they ran the ball for over 400 yards on Friday.

This week will be the Blue Tide’s homecoming as they try to remain undefeated on their own turf.
