With Liberty County schools returning to in person courses this week, the Liberty County Panthers and Bradwell Institute Tigers will both return to the field on Friday.

It’s been three weeks since both teams have been in action due to a shutdown throughout the system was implemented on Aug. 25.

The Panthers (0-1) will travel to face 6A’s Statesboro (1-2) on Friday.

These teams faced each other a season ago where the Blue Devils won 33-13.

The game will take place on Womack Field at 7:30 where the Panthers will return to football and go for revenge over the Blue Devils.

The Bradwell Institute Tigers (0-1) will head to Baxley to take on 3A’s Appling County (4-0) on Friday as they make their way back to the playing field.

This will serve as the first time these teams have faced each other.

The game will take place at Jimmy Swain Stadium on Friday at 7:30.

For Long County, they will be in Hazlehurst this weekend.

The Blue Tide (2-2) will take on the 2A Jeff Davis Yellow Jackets (4-0).

These teams faced each other a season ago with the Yellow Jackets prevailing 29-6.

Fresh off a 46-0 win against Butler, the Blue Tide secured their first multiple-win season since 2015.

The Blue Tide and Yellow Jackets will play on Sept. 17 at 7:30 in Hazlehurst.
