Hoops tourney makes $600 for Relay for Life

The Hinesville Seminoles basketball team won the 2016 Liberty County Relay for Life Basketball Tournament, which was May 21 at the Shuman Recreation Center.

The Seminoles, coached by Jeffery Williams, defeated the Live Oak Church team 42-38 in the championship.
The team is composed of Comer Kite, Dashawn Hudson, Dcorjahe Thompson, Dishon Thomas, Gevon Ricketts, Jamel Alston, Quincey Minniefield, Quasean Brickhouse, Rayquan Smith, Toney Harper, Trayvon Mungin and Trevion Ward.

The Relay for Life Mission Possible Team from Connection Church coordinates the tournament each year.
The tournament generated $603 through a combined effort of teams and supporters to help the American Cancer Society.
