Former Bradwell and Georgia State football player, Ulrick John played the first half of Thursday night’s NFL preseason game between his team, the Arizona Cardinals, and the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys edged out a 20-18 win during the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio.

John was the first Liberty County native drafted by the NFL when he was selected in the seventh round of the 2014 draft by the Indianapolis Colts. He suffered a leg injury in his first preseason game with the Colts and was placed on the Colts practice squad. He was later signed by the Miami Dolphins.

He played in two preseason games with the Dolphins. In October 2016, John was signed by the Cardinals. He played in three games with three starts.
